You can automatically renew BasePress by clicking &#8220;<em>update now&#8221;<\/em> in the update notice.<br \/>\nYou can find more details on how to <a href=\"https:\/\/wordpress.org\/support\/article\/managing-plugins\/#plugin-updates\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">update WordPress plugins<\/a> in this article.<\/p>\n<p>If you need to do the update manually please follow the instructions below:<br \/>\nFirst make sure, the option <strong>&#8216;Remove all content on uninstall&#8217; <\/strong>is not ticked in the BasePress <em>Settings &gt; General<\/em> tab.<br \/>\nIf the option has a tick remove it and save. Navigate to <em>Plugins&gt;Installed Plugins<\/em>\u00a0in the WP admin panel and deactivate BasePress. After deactivation, click on\u00a0<em>\u2018Delete\u2019.<\/em>\u00a0This will remove the old version from the website<\/p>\n<p>Proceed to the installation of the new BasePress version as usual. You can follow the steps described in the <a href=\"https:\/\/basepresskb.com\/docs\/knowledge-base\/getting-started\/installation\/\">installation<\/a> article.
